Mr. Olympia 2015

Mr. Olympia is the title given to the winner of the professional bodybuilding contest.

The Mr. Olympia takes place every year, and is organized by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB). Joe Weider created the contest to allow the winners to Mr. Universe to continue to compete.

The first Mr. Olympia was held September 18, 1965, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York City, with Larry Scott as the winner.

Qualification

The record number of victories is eight; held by Lee Haney, (1984-1991), and Ronnie Coleman (1998-2005).

Phil Heath currently holds the title.

In 2011, a few days after the conclusion of the Olympia Weekend, the IFBB Professional League Chairman Jim Manion has changed the rules of quality as follows:

• Top four in each division at the Olympia
• The first three of each division at the Arnold Classic / international
• Top two in each division at the New York Pro
• 1st place in all other competitions, including the World Amateur Championship

Next to the title of Mr. Olympia reserved for men, the Olympia Weekend will also engage in the following competitions: Fitness Olympia, Figure Olympia, Bikini Olympia 212 Showdown, Women's Physique, Men's Physique.
